It has been almost a year since Cherie Hearts SAF CDC took over the management of the Centre. I must say that at first my wife and I were a bit wary of the changes that would take place as my daughter Ashley has taken over a year to adapt to her “school” and the routine under the previous management. However, we are very glad to say that our fears were unfounded.
We found to our delight that the management and teachers at the Centre were very helpful and understood our concerns. They were very patient in taking care of Ashley, who can be a handful at times, but most important for me, my daughter took to the new teachers very well. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to all the teachers in the Centre for being patient with Ashley and also in addressing all the queries and concerns that we have, promptly. We find that the teachers and management were very responsive and showed genuine care and concern for all the children in the Centre. We appreciate the constant communication between the teachers and parents.
We are also happy that under the management of Cherie Hearts SAF CDC, the lessons and curriculum were more structured and that the well being of the children were taken care of as well. One of the initiatives we appreciated was the conduct of enrichment classes at the Centre. It really saves us the time of sending our daughter for these classes and it allows us to have better quality time with her at the end of the day and also during weekends. My daughter looks forward to her enrichment classes, especially her speech and drama class, and would come home practicing her song and dance gleefully, much to our delight.
One of our main concerns initially was the diet of my daughter. As she is still young, we were worried that nutritionally she will suffer. Therefore we were pleasantly surprised that not only was the diet carefully planned according to the nutritional needs of growing children, she was also given fruits and cod liver oil daily. I must say that in this aspect, we are totally happy. It is no wonder that the Centre was also awarded the “Healthy Eating Award” from the Health Promotion Board.
After a year of observing our daughter, we noticed a significant improvement in Ashley - her knowledge, linguistic as well as her social interaction skills. We were delighted that every once in a while she surprises us with her understanding of things, her vocabulary and actions. We attribute this to Melody the Branch Director and the wonderful team of teachers that she has.
Lastly, sending Ashley to the Centre puts our mind at ease knowing that she will be well taken care of.
Kudos to Cherie Hearts SAF CDC @ Gombak and keep up the good work.
